I think if it was a chisel,there would be a lot of wear at the end caused by the hammer blows.I'm still liking the stylus idea.It may be wishful thinking but you never know :)

Very interesting find!

Looks almost like it could be a miniature toy sword in shape.

But the object looks like it could be of some age to it as well if not Roman then perhaps medieval in date it could be something used by woman in spinning or cosmetics.
