Good Afternoon All,
My daughter has recently got her first metal detector for Xmas. We've been briefly to a beach to test it out. Too much noise and rubbish etc. So does anyone have tips about how to get permission for land detecting in our area? Other tips?
Contacts and local club maybe? Many thanks.

Hullo and welcome. I started out by contacting local farmers for permission. Local council sometimes worth a bash too. long nights on internet looking for local landowners : ) Beaches can be fun, but stay away from the littery ones, and adjust the sensitivity down. Look out for any DS digs which are near you, or you are willing to travel to. Good luck, hope she enjoys her new hobby!

Hi and welcome to the forum, what detector did she get? the beach  can be fun if you have the detector set up correctly.
