If you're looking for an informative but easy to read book on the Scottish Monarchy, then you can't go wrong with this one.  It is the 'Kings and Queens of Scotland' by R L Mackie & J Ross.

It's part of the Waverly Books Scottish history series, and will set you back the princley sum of £2.99.
