The report is very comprehensive and interesting. A picture of each find would have made it outstanding. Im astounded to see how many items are in the report. I hope you lot have left some things for me to find.
I also noticed that a fair few finds were not claimed by museums, that seems a shame, does anyone know why? A medieval coin hoard seems a no brainier for any museum.

You are probably correct.
But I think the "powers that be" are being very short sighted in not claiming these hoards or artifacts.
There is not an unlimited supply of these items and in the immediate years to come finds like this will dry up and be very uncommon.
I'm not sure of the details of any of the unclaimed items but for items not to be claimed must be really disappointing for the finder.
