Livery Button?

Out detecting on a pasture field on one of my permissions the other day and found this button. Tried online to ID it without success even in the website for online livery buttons. There are no crossed arrows below the crown and is a flat button unlike a military domed button so it is not the Royal Company of Archers. I noticed in the hits on Google that General Waste had come across a similar button with a thistle below and crown above. Button measures 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Field has produced musket balls and two silver Vicky sixpences dated 1839 and 40. I also found a button belonging to the Stirling Volunteers in it dating from around 1860-3. Suggestions would be welcome to satisfy my curiosity.

Is that the reverse with the thistle on it? The TT will be interested in the button, that I know from my experience with a button I found. Lovely find well done

Thanks Gruesaich and Woodwynd. That;s the front of the button. What was your experience Gruesaich with TT that makes you say they would be interested in it?

The design of the crown represents a queen, that narrows it to Victoria or Elizabeth.  Is that a thistle at the bottom?
All I can find, and can't find exact, is possibly a royal court button for HM lieutenants of (Scotland, England, Ireland or Wales) and if it's a thistle, it'd be Scotland and "uniform" worn by the liveries or domestic staff.
I'm sure someone will know for sure

Thank you Molly 1. It is a Thistle at the bottom. Area where I stay was the royal hunting grounds when the King/Queen was in residence at Stirling Castle.

Thank you,

Gord

Don't know if this helps but the Royal Scots Fusiliers buttons are very similar.

Thanks Mitchell, very interesting, I'll look into that. Local regiment here is AS&H that were in Stirling Castle.
