I can see I'm going to have trouble here! - I get most of them - but what have crows got to do with it???? Anyway, sorry fellahs, no plonk!
Now what am I meant to be doing with this thread? ....

OK the rules are pretty simple - If you find a cloth or bag seal put a picture of both sides (even if one is blank as it can help ID) on this thread. State the county it was found in and put a mm ruler beside it to give it scale.
The best one each month gets a bottle of plonk and every entry has the chance of immortality for its finder in the form of your name and seal on the Bagseal Gallery for all to see. (If you'd prefer have your real name rather than User name on the Gallery just say).  It is very difficult to ID a seal from a photograph if it is covered in mud or poorly lit. Here are some tips on cleaning and getting the best image (remember scanning is often easier) :- Cleaning - http://www.bagseals.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=3349
getting the best image - http://www.bagseals.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1952

Hang on to the original, full size image and send it to my email (stuartelton@hotmail.com) as I often blow them up as much as the definition will allow to help with ID.

And finally remember it doesn't have to be perfect to stand a chance. A seal that provides a single word that helps to solve the full identification of an unknown type is better than a hundred Webbs & Sons manure seals in perfect condition ;)

As the first 'entries' show it also meant to be a bit of fun and so if a clod shot is all you have - stick it up please.
