North Wales (Anglesey in particular) beaches
« on: October 06, 2017, 08:26:27 PM »
Am off down to good old Ynys Mon where I go twice a year as my wife is from the island.
Now I have fished, bird-watched and taken photographs all over Anglesey for about 25 years so I know my way about but have never detected as I am new to it.

Anyone ever been detecting there?  I have been looking at the Crown shoreline map (an excellent discovery!) and it seems lots of available "beaches" for me and Anglesey is an ancient place with a history of Druids, Celts, Roman occupation, Indy wars etc so I am hopeful  :)
You dig?

May I suggest you sign up to Detecting Wales site and ask the guys there. (I had to do likewise to buy a detector from one of them)

Only ever been to Anglesey once, did have my detector with me but didn't have time to use it.

Yes, a great track and a great weekend, unfortunately, the outfit didn't look that good by the end of the weekend.
