Hello
« on: November 22, 2018, 12:14:34 AM »
Hi folks.
A few months ago I bought a detector to help me with one of my other hobbies Chainsaw carving. Sometimes Im asked to carve tree stumps and hitting a nail is expensive so I decided to buy a decent detector and bought an AT Pro . Turns out the pointer I bought would have done the job but dont tell my wife . Little did I know what was round the corner , a few weeks later I had a heart attack . Sooo for the last few months as part of my recuperation Ive been wandering around learning to use my detector. Ive really enjoyed meeting new people and finding the odd interesting thing while detecting. Life is finally becoming more normalised as I do a phased return to work .  Looking forward to getting back to sculpting but I think there will be a few days a month set aside to swing my machine. If you are intrested in what I do with a chainsaw you can see my carvings on " Caledonian Chainsaw Carving" facebook. Im not a business so I just post what I have carved most Sunday nights and folk make me an offer , pretty much just cover costs .  So Im heading to my first dig with you guys this Sunday , Look out for the carved dog on the back of my truck and come over and say hello , he won't bite I promise.

Welcome and a speedy recovery to full fitness...

I think I saw a carved dog on a truck driving bye at the Charity Dig at Lundie Castle Farm on 21/10/2018... certainly had a couple of us giving the 'dog' a second look... Nice.
