Bronze age
« on: April 16, 2019, 08:42:09 PM »
Last Sunday's dig was just not doing it for me so left early for a friend's permission nearer home. Wasn't to be disappointed after digging all the usual bits and bobs I got a great 12/45 signal with the CTX, I dug down about 12" but no response from my probe , machine still said there was something there so after digging out more soil I finally got a bleep from my Garrett probe so on I went till at 22" deep the green patina showed it's self and I knew right away it's a bronze age axe head to say I was amazed is a understatement.
Here's the vid footage. https://youtu.be/k1j4vRHFQDA

Well Done! That's just like the one Anna found on DS6 (all those years ago!). Hers was claimed by TT and is now in Perth museum.

Brilliant find Brian, I was amazed as to the depth of it, the video didn't do it justice.
