Does anyone know what these are???? Help a newbie.
« on: July 28, 2019, 10:42:49 PM »
Hi people, new here and new to metal detecting, hooked already, I've never found anything of value and always found junk and coins but nothing old, anyway a couple of things I found I can't find anything anywhere about them and wondered if any of you could help, one of the items looks like a rock but is quite heavy and came up on the detector, so there is some sort of metal in it, the other is like a copper rod with the ends fatter, see pictures, I know it's junk but and i.d  would be appreciated thanks. PS how to attach images here?

I like guessing games, could be a meteorite for the heavy rock, then again could be something else like a by product of industry?

Glad you're enjoying yourself on your sub soil litter picking.

I'm not an expert of submitting images, if you search the site there are other posts detailing. I believe you need to upload photos to a hosting site, Imgur previously mentioned but I had difficulty joining last night as Captcha was throwing me out!

Just tried this out, upload to this site https://postimages.org/ and copy the links provided into your post. I think you are restricted on file size.
