Lead with notches
« on: January 28, 2020, 01:11:13 PM »

Found this piece of lead on my Perthshire permission at the weekend. Didn't think much of it until I noticed four notches cut into one end. Anyone got any ideas?

I reckon its a crude wax seal or for imprinting material. As always better to show treasure trove before binning it Phil 😉

Think you need to have been to a few digs before you can get full use of the site  :)
