I've never had any trouble with those hairy beasts! It's only ever been Holsteins that have hassled me, and even then they just follow me or lick my sleeve lol!

Dont know what you call these cows , ive seen the farmer have a hard time with them they are cranky at the best of times , yep loads of chunky stuff ,always the same when on a new field particularly where i am ,loads of big targets  out first!, then try an figure out if its worth going back , the antler thing metal , i have either found one before or seen one , the other item was a lot deeper most likely as its heavier no items have a thread in sockets

Great work finding the antler whole,  Ive found a fragment that was bugging me for an ID, but after seeing your find I reckon its a broken off piece from one of those antlers. Im sure somebody else ( Joe98 maybe ?  :-\ )  found a fragment as well and was wondering about an Id.

At least I know now that it was from a miniature antler, but what its origin or purpose was, Im still none the wiser  :D

Anna and I have found a few of these jaggy things. Think they may be Victorian hallstand fittings. We've a Victorian hallstand and these seem to fit the bill as our hallstand has these for hanging up coats, jackets, peasants etc. :)
