Garrett euro ace
« on: March 16, 2012, 12:48:19 AM »
Hi everyone i have just got back home from working away. I decided to treat myself to a euro ace as i have been made redundant now so i have a few months of free time just for detecting.

I noticed a few things straight away why it was better than my old 250

Firstly 250 on coin mode does not pick up gold or hammered coins where as euro ace does no problem.

The only thing im getting used to is the pin pointing on the new larger coil digging up trenches at the moment.

I may treat myself to a pinpointer but overall my garrett 250 is redundant too now
I was going to buy a new coil for 250 but for the price the euro ace is better suited to the uk

Thanks for sharing, I am thinking of getting a euroace as my first detector so it's great to hear from someone who has used one.

I find the Ace 250 in relic mode with the first three bars notched out will pick up hammered and indeed gold. It's all down to personal preference and budgets I suppose  ::)
