Tried previously on efid without a poitive ID, also just posted it on SARG so hopefully I'll be able to label it!  :)

Sorry can't see any detail from that picture. Any chance of a larger higher-res image of both sides?

Without a scanner I can't get a decent pic of the back. I'm using a Nikon D80 without a close up lense.

The reverse has the wolf with visible ribs showing Romulus and remus under it and two stars above it.

I'm now leaning towards Constantine commemorative issue 330AD ish but not sure at all..

I thnink you`re right Fastest. I couldn't`t make any detail out on the pictures but by the description of the obverse it would appear to be an "urbs Roma" type of the Constantinian period minted 330-335 A.D.( according to the book I use). Can you make out anything underneath the twins? If so this is probably the mint and workshop number. ;D

Still can't make out anything from your picture, but your description makes it almost certain to be a Rome commemorative, as John said. There are a few here:
