Hi Grant

I did initially have it priced at £1100 for the lot which i thought was an ok price considering the age and the cost to buy new £1700(sh) but I had no interest so decided to just open it up to offers as its sitting as a spare not getting used, its far to good a detector not to be out there getting swung.

Hiya mate

my personal opinion and please don't be offended is that you would be better splitting them up.

It IS a good price if you NEED all the items however,

If you think about it, just about everyone in the market for an expensive machine like an etrac would have a probe already, quite possibly a garret.

Most people also replace the standard Koss phones with whatever they prefer too.

Currently you can pick up an Etrac with Koss phones for £1000 new if you look (Thats what I paid) at Highland Innovation.

So I suppose the question is,

Is it worth getting the extra coil for only £100 but not having the warranty as it only applies to the original owner, unless I'm getting mixed up.

With the probe, people who are fairly new to detecting would snap that up, or those who are maybe using a lesser probe and want to upgrade it.

Oh look! another arsehole ;-) (people watching the professional beggars round central station)

I think you'll still get £1100, just quicker if you split them up  ;)

Just as an addition to Grants input re-warranty, I purchased a detector, from a forum user, which had remaining warranty. The larger coil went buns up, when I contacted Regton, they informed me the warranty stood with the original owner only. However they did replace the coil under warranty. Great service I add this just as a note of caution. No inferrence is intended that the seller misslead me.
So essentially Grant is correct.
