permission
« on: August 31, 2012, 01:24:30 PM »
Hi Folks,

Finally got a permission, after months and months of chasing the same one. So I now need a detector. I previously used an Ace 250, So now looking for something  not too complicated and not too expensive any advice offers welcomed.

Congratulations unknown :) permissions are like hammies, get the first and the rest follow. Regarding detectors I would look at the xterra range, i found these to be good machines for both beach and land

@Dodie 1.

I find this answer very hard,
Tae think I thoucht I was the bard,
I canna tell you aboot the grun,
So I hope this reply his you on the run

It`s A` in crop, nae sign O` rubble,
I willna ken, till its doon tae stubble,
So whither, it`s sandy, earthy or clay,
At this very minute I canna say.

I kin only say I`m awfy pleased,
The crop looks fine, it`s nae diseased,
An further pleased tae say it`s mine,
As soon as its vacated by yon combine.

I`d like a machine, nae oot O` ma reach,
Tae search on the land as weel as the beach,
But bear in mind I`m fae Aiberdeen,
So on spending siler, I`m nae that keen.

Yir answer fairly made me frown,
Fin I thocht, my god he`s efter ma crown,
So I thocht na, na, nae this time,
I`ll send him packing wie a funcy rhyme.

Anon.

ach very weel  iget your drift
fae aberdeen and fu o thrift
a guid wee choice just for you
would be the fisher f4 or a technics t2
of cousre youd pay a wee bit mair
but digging your treasure wuldna be sair

but hud fire the noo dinnae wait till the ploo
get out on yon stubble with the ds crew
theyll tell yu loads about the best o gear
what to find and what to fear
ask aboot the best machine but  dinnae rush
its gotta be good n snow or slush !

but dinnae forget your pinpointer too
a trusty friend tae me and you
itll get the goods you can be sure
and nae mair will you be poor
silver or gold we cannae tell
a bit o lead a broken bell its a waitin to be found
under yer newly aquired permission found !

Well its started noo a war O` words
It`s pencils oot instead O` swords
I`ll be fightin lang fur the title O` bard,
Let battle commence, let battle be hard.

I`m no very willing tae be easily defeated,
And no very keen on being unseated,
So the war of words whilst fine and braw
Wid end up equal, in fact a draw.

The  machine I need wid need to be cheap,
Fur I walk awfy slow, in fact at a creep,
You`ll understaun, an show appreciation
Fur nae winting tae see much  depreciation

But a few pounds I`d pay and fairly be willing
But I`m off tae ebay tae bid on a shilling,
Wie regards tae the lead tae be fun in the grun
It`s nae that bad, at 12/- a ton.

Am on duty late watching transfer news,
Another battle Gers are sure to go and lose,
So I wander in here for a bit of a nose,
And Ma pages are filled with rhyming prose!

But Whits got the aged detectorists up in a tiz,
It's a question not a riddle nor part of a quiz,
I'd inform ye it wouldn't take but a minute to do,
But to get too entangled I don't want for noo. ;)

So I'll say one and all, may yer signals be guid,
Priceless in history, and worth a few quid,
Be it, coin, ring, jewel 0r long lost lockets,
They'll get you a rhyme from that pair o auld rockets^
