Now then Rob, how can I put this to make it as painless as possible for you ! LOL.
Lets just say, Shug and I in the front of the pickup were very jolly, and having a good laugh on the way back home , and the backseat Minelab users were very quiet.
The T2's came in with the best finds of the day, my personal finds were;
2 coins, 1 jetton, 1 celtic/roman buckle, 1 roman nail, 6 buttons, 1 brennik slug.
S6otty realy looks unsure whether to make a purchase !, or buy a T2 ! Lol.

Lol you have to walk over it to find it
and I didn't
Quit your T2 jibber jabber lol, the minelabs will fight back
next time we shall prevail (perhaps lol) Bill congrats on that amazing buckle though and Shug on his coin, it was a fantastic day out
(except for the T2 fanboys slagging us off) lol
I did however find these along with a couple of buttons, possible roman coin? or coin remains of something lol

You are correct Rob, you have to cover the object to find it, and some of it comes down to luck.
I should add my first impressions on the CTX, was good, very good build quality, balance, and I am sure this detector will be a winner, being totaly waterproof counts for a lot to me, one of my complaints on other detectors.
I am not in the market to purchase a new detector just now being happy with the T2, but its a detector I would definitely consider in the future .

Bill you have pretty well mastered that T2 thats for sure, you should have a wee go with boost and cache mode and see what you think? CTX is indeed a nicely built machine, didn't expect you to be impressed with it with you being a non minelab user and big time T2 fan so cheers for that
Really was a good day out and the banter was all good too
