I am looking for the best British coin identification book that I can get for £20 or under, I am not interested in prices, but a book with lots of identifying photos,.... any suggestion

Would say Spinks mate don't have the book and I know it has all the prices but also all varietys and form  :)
You have to be over it to find it

For under a tenner inc p&p you should be able to pick up a used copy of Spink from the past five years, earlier editions had b&w pics rather than colour I believe, but they include only English and post 1707 UK coinage. For Scottish coins try the Scottish & Irish seaby book, that's from the early eighties so is a bit out of date but should be available second hand from the usual places (ebay,amazon), the later spink edition is too expensive.

Pay the extra £5 and buy the latest Spink. The prices may go out of date but the pictures & descriptions won't. :) :) :)

Forgot to mention Coincraft's standard catalogue of the coins of Scotland,Ireland,Channel Islands & Isle of Man. This is out of print but well worth getting if you can find one. ISBN 0-95262-287-4.  :) :) :)
