TT -Update
Now it has been cleaned we can see the name William, a cross with Scallop shells top & bottom and a fish & bird either side!

Quite a few of the bishops of St Andrews were named William, also 1 archbishop.. I feel this is a really important find Abby

...a very rare find in that condition and I'm sure they will be able to decipher it and tell you all about it. A truly top find and you must rightly be very proud of it, well done again!!!
