ID please
« on: February 19, 2018, 11:29:18 AM »
Hello,

Can you guys help me to ID this button, badge, necklace? I found this on my land in East Lothian. Three years ago on that same field I found a Roman coin, copper Sestertius of Dominitian 81-96 (checked and disclaimed by TT).

Thanks for help

It's  very nice, but looks too good, so I agree with Pete. It might be from a more recent military helmet maybe (e.g. strap pivot decoration) or maybe cameo jewellery? Not an expert tho'.  :)

Nice find mate, but you should have left it in as found condition.
