Ladies, Gents, - and anyone else .... Lovely to see all those good wishes and such optimism.

Trouble is, year after year the hopes and aspirations get swallowed up very quickly by the events unfolding across the entire globe, driven (I am in no doubt whatsoever) by what is kindly referred to as the Globalist Conspiracy - everything from the destruction of national identity and the family unit, to worldwide chemtrail spews and depopulation methods and inexorable, totally undemocratic drive towards one world government, religion, and financial systems.

Don't take my word for it - check it out for yourself and you'll be utterly astonished. Took me about 5 years serious examination to get to believing it all...

Why am I spouting all this negativity?  Because it is true, and that in turn means it is all the more important that you really enjoy the thing that makes you happy and gives you a sense of freedom and excitement - in our case, metal detecting (or treasure hunting if you prefer the truth!)

Enjoy each day in the countryside (cannot say fresh air unfortunately so ignore the skies and all that's in them because there's not a damn thing you can do about it), the scenery and the companionship, and not least the thrill of the hunt.

Enjoy the escape from everyday drudgery, financial woes, domestic or work strife, or anything else that drags you down.

Enjoy the moment and keep in mind that every single sweep of that magic wand could - just maybe - produce the find of a lifetime.

All the very best to you all, and no, I am not being facetious!

Bob.

Also! ... Ask yourself this ...

IF there is more money sloshing around the world than there has ever been :
IF we have better technology than we have ever had :
IF we have more experience to draw on than ever before :
IF we are half as clever as we think we are ..

Then WHY are things getting progressively worse instead of better?

I cannot think of a single public service which is better now than it was thirty or forty years ago, with the possible exception of so called 'Social Services' which didn't exist then and which swallows up money like you wouldn't believe, and which is obligated to put the State's beliefs before the family unit's beliefs.

End Of .... !

Bob.

Interesting Bob and I have to agree. As someone who works in Education it's been a tough year dealing with young people who come from families with no aspirations, lack of ambition and deep rooted struggles with poverty. All direct impacts of our wonderful 21st Century.
So your sentiment is so true enjoy every minute you can doing the thing that makes you happy.
Carpe Diem
