Hi All,

First of all the GREAT news...
Some of you may know that I've been hammering away at a keyboard for many years and looking to enter the world of Bona-Fide authors, rather than stay on the self-publishing route.

Well, just last week, I signed a contract with Cranachan Books (A Scottish publisher) who are going to be publishing my children's historical novel "The God of All Small Boys" early 2019 !! 

So, there's the background... now the scrounge... 

The book is set in Dundee (Lochee) in 1917...
And I thought it might be a good idea for the book launch to have a nice wee pile of 1917 copper coinage (Farthings/Ha'pennies/Pennies/Thru'pennies) to give to the kids when they buy the book.
(I wouldn't ask for silver's as they would be .925 !)

So, I'm wondering if any of you guys might be willing to dig out any 1917 coins (condition does NOT matter, as long as the date is legible) and pass them on?

If people want cash for them I could prob spend , what, 5p per coin?
And would paypal postage costs back to you.

Anyone interested in lending a hand with this?

John, that would be excellent.

Release isn't until 2019... but if you want to link it to put out my request for 1917 coins...  
(Although maybe best to leave out the 5p per coin bit!   )

(And maybe have a follow up next year when it comes out, and allude to the way people pulled together to help with the coins?)

Coinage does not appear to be much of a forte of mine whilst detecting but I will double check my findie box for 1917

(They'll have to go to pecial folk!)
