Well all my kit got absolutely soaking wet and took ages to dry out but had a great time...

It was good to talk to other guys and watch how things are done.

I didn't get much but will try and put a picture up at some stage.

I got part of a headless rider on a horse, two pennies (1d) no dates as badly corroded and a sixpence but only 183? of date is showing...

Well what I thought was a one penny (1d) at the Dalmahoy dig on 5th December dig is in fact a 10 Centesimi - Vittorio Emanuele II coin from Italy dated 1862...

The coin dried out and when I rubbed it I could see 10 in the middle of the coin. My son, James, confirmed a date 1862 and I googled it from there...

Now I wonder how and why it was where it was when I found it???
