Looks like we might catch a better day weather-wise. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcvptezyz#?date=2018-02-08

That bad Caberfeidh? I'd say that's actually a good thing considering the amount of tension this scheme has created, had loads of artefacts come up I'd imagine it would only lead to further tension that trees should not be planted in the area proposed.

This is the first I''d heard of it. Has there been a lot of antipathy toward the foresting of the area?

Oh dear. Still, we can't turn all Scotland into a museum. Stuff happened all over the place, we can't refuse development just because something once happened there. A bunch of guys running from a battle across some moorland hardly merits refusal for development.

Had an email from John Gooder saying that the next survey day would be on Tuesday 27th of March, if anyone can make it. 9-9:30 start. A few coins, iron tools and horse shoes found last time. Good luck...

Don't forget my contributions - a 1950s henhouse door-hinge, a 1990s mobile phone and after chilling myself to the bone in the burn (have Excalibur, will paddle); a ring-pull! Tizer, 1974.
